so i have somewhere i need to be. and my truck wont start. it makes a wierd noise when i turn the key. like when i was little i would put a wooden ruler halfway on a table and push down and then let go, and it would go doooinnng.... it makes a noise like that. i dont know how else to describe it. the starter is new and it was running and starting fine just yesterday. iv tried jumping it, iv tried chargeing the batteries, iv tried hammering on the starter. i dont know what to do im afraid its going to be expensive. so i need your help. thanks

just tried to tighten a bolt on the starter that looked loose. and of course im a dumbass and didnt disconnect the battery first and it sparked and turned over and gave me a bit of a shock. so i know its not the starter and i know my batteries have enough juice to turn over the engine. now im thinking its a solenoid or something? any helpl is appreciated thanks
