Default my new 1990 f250 7.3 IDI

Hey guys heres a quick introduction of myself. Im a contractor and needed to upgrade to a larger platform then my Titan so I bought this beast. Shes a lariat 4x4 and pretty clean. Shes having problems already though. Im hoping this forum can help me because im kinda regretting this purchase. 162k on the clock 7.3 IDI. Shes not very peppy and was not liking the grades traveling from Cali to Vegas. blowing smoke like crazy. it was night so i didnt see the color of the smoke. My oil was at 50psi and temp at 220 up the large grades and was topping out at 65mph unloaded. on the flats it was normal. now its at 20 at idle and 35-40 driving normal and 180 on temp. I have to bring back a lot of equipment back to california and im worried she wont make it. 300 mile trip. heres some pics and ill post in technical the problems. When i did the oil change The oil was not black it was sludge. you could paint with it. never seen anything like it in my life. changed the fuel filter and out dumped a lot of black flakes. check engine light just came on. oil leak found! cant find where its coming from might be main seal its way up there. if i keep the truck a banks sidewinder is in the near future. look forward to being a part of this forum!

That's one good look'n truck. If the motor area is as clean as the outside you should have little trouble finding the oil leak. I think I would take the truck to a professional diesel garage to be checked out.
