Started with a brother with me now in spirit only. He drove tanks, I drive a little 4 banger Mitsu TD that calls itself a Dodge. I'm glad to see some of the diesel driving countries represented here because my engine is a hybrid of the 4D55/56 models. The head and turbo belong to the 4D56 pajeros and shoguns that exist everywhere but here in the states. The difference is a roller rocker head and a water cooled turbo. It's a good ride, still a project, needs an intercooler and it can push somewhere upwards of 120 HP and still get 35-40 a gal. And many of those gallons are run on veggie oil. I do have an issue that needs attention dealing with a Bosch VE IP on the very technical end in the general diesel discussion. I won't generally ask for direct support but can offer some knowledge about IDI fuel systems as by the time I take this pump apart and put it back together I will have rebuilt the whole thing. And hopefully you guys can keep me from blowing it all up!
