Default Diesel Newbie

Hello all! I don't own a diesel yet just wanted to get some feedback before my possible purchase. I am looking at a 1984 chevy k5 with a 6.5 n/a swap. New transmission as well, 88k miles, 6in lift, 33s, pretty decent interior for 31 years old damn thing still has the og tape deck haha...any way I just wanted to ask what iffy things I should be looking for withe this motor and what I should do once I aquire it as far as replacing stuff like glow plugs etc and also what would be the best course of action to add a turbo, it's does have ac and I've read that the box sits in the spot where the turbo should sit? Thanks for any feedback!

My opinion would be to run as fast as you can from the guy selling it.
Just kidding but with a swap you really need to examine the install and from what I understand the 6.5 Na is kinda weak. A one of a kind truck you run into all kinds of parts problem etc. The 84 chevy looks good I like the body style just not the swap idea.

Thanks for your reply. I've never owned a diesel before but it's a really great deal I think for such a well kept truck. My dad used to have an 85 c10 and Ive really wanted a c10/k5 for awhile because it reminds me of him.
I would like to turbo it but I don't know where to start. I plan to keep it mostly "stock" and use it for daily driving, light wheeling and pulling my jeep. All else fails I can run it till it dies and drop a 350 gas engine in it (is that sacrilegious to say here ) I'll try to add a picture when I get home my phone won't let me do it

Current owner says he was told it's a brand new crate motor not swapped out of another truck, new transmission 700r, said motor only has like 27k on it, dropped tcase for the lift and stock driveshafts I'd probably get better driveshafts and get rid of the tcase drop

Thanks for the pictures it is a good looking blazer, it must be a Silverado with the electric Windows and console etc. You could always put a 12 valve Cummins in it later or an injected 350 if the 6.5 becomes a burden. Nice outlaw 2 old school wheels kinda takes me back to my younger years.

Thanks he said he's got a set of 18s with 35s but I don't think old trucks like this should have bigger than a 16
