Default <-Does not own DIESEL!?

Hello!

I bet that title got your attention. Im Danny, 29, i live in Indiana and my grammar is **** poor not only that but its true i dont own a diesel of anykind! im sure off the top ppl are going to be upset at me about that and ask all sorts of questions so before the bombardment of insults and hate begin let me tell you a bit more about myself. I LOVE CAR and TRUCKS!!! I mean all of them im not picky at all! low riders, rat rods, muscle cars, slammed wagons, mudders, euro, imports all of it! i think they all rock in there own awesome way and whats trashy for one man could me glorious for another. Ive never owned nor worked on a diesel or a 4x4 most of my garage tinkering was on cheap imports and domestics. Im not a master mechanic and i dont have a huge bankroll. so who cares? nobody? GOOD! well ive join diesel bombers to gain some knowledge about diesel trucks and in the near future i plan on buying a diesel truck of my own. im looking at early 90's dodge d250 because of the "Reliable" cummins motors inside of them. anything else you like to know please ask away!

So i found a great looking truck at my local dealership. Problem is the price its suspiciously cheap... hmmm here is a link.

Used 1999 Ford F-450 Chassis Cab XL - Inventory Vehicle Details at Hubler Ford Center, Inc. - Your Shelbyville, Indiana Ford dealer

Its a red cab with a flat bed short body 2 door manual. Tried to take a quick look and escape before the sales man showed up... looked to have only 4 gears with a symbol of sorts where 5th would be. Speedometer read up to 100 mph, im not planning on racing it but there is going to be alot of highway miles involved to and from work. Crazy high miles but from what i understand diesel motors can handle ALOT of miles w/o an issue. Not sure if its 2wd or 4x4 no stickers or buttons from what i could see, although i was looking into the window. Without a doubt it was a company truck because it has a spot on both sides of the truck where the paint looks brighter.

Any thoughts or comments?

The page says 2003 7.3l.
But you typed 1999?
Less than 4,000$/ a part of me says beware with that price, that is a steal for that price.
If you are really interested in getting it, I would have a separate shop that specializes in diesel repairs go over the truck and do a full inspection on it. That way if you get it you will know what it needs in repairs so you won't be surprised if something goes out.

Yeah that would be a smart move and there is a shop just down the road.
