Well, I guess Im suppost to tell about my pickup. I bought a 2008 6.4 Crew Long King Ranch w/sunroof. Had 220k on it. Got it home and noticed a ticking sound so I called around to every Ford dealer/diesel shop around and nobody wanted to touch it. They all said to toss in a cummins or put a new engine in for 18k! I own and operate my own mechanic shop but hadn't worked on powerstrokes at all. So I jumped on youtube, watched a video on how to pull the cab and then lifted mine. When I got it apart I found a bad lifter and a rounded cam lobe so it was overhaul time!! I overhauled it myself with no block machining and put a cam in it out of a 2005 6.0 and got her up n running for a whappen $3500!! Runs really good now im glad I bought it and since then I have started bulletproofing 6.0's.Have been steady with them ever since. I now have 6.0 exhaust manifolds on it, with upgraded up pipes and no egr provisions, s&b intake, 4'' dpf delete w/ h&s tuner hot damn 300 tune.
