Default A couple of Wackos

Hello from Dad and Dotter!

My daughter is an automotive mechanic. We've been given a 2003 Cummins 8.9 liter ISL in a Bluebird urban bus to play with.

I signed up here to see if anyone knew about such things, especially the electronic controls on the fuel injection.

I'm semi-retired and trying to help my daughter in general to start up her own business. I have become obsessed with this and now want my own ICE research facility which I am building on a shoestring..... so now I'm a wacko with one floppy shoe!

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I'm a nut for sensors and interfaces. I've ordered an ELM 327 laptop OBDII unit and am researching/assembling emissions test equipment. Other sensor arrays for measuring engine conditions and performance will necessarily be acquired.

I'm going to be contacting a number of established research labs for some pointers.

If there's anyone here who's got an opinion or any information that might help, please speak up! I need all the help I can get.

The men in the white coats have already been called.
