New 6.0 powerstroke Diesel Bomber
Hello to all!
I am thrilled to finally take 10 minutes out of my time to create a user account on this site, which I have used on numerous occasions for concerns regarding my powerstrokes. I recently sold my 2008 6.4 powerstroke. It definitely lived up to its bad reputation, despite that massive power and torque. Just bought my first ever 6.0 Powerstroke. They've got a bad rep too, but I am planning on bullet-proofing it throughout this next year. It is a 2004 F250 FX4, 4 door, short bed, standard tranny, all stock, and well taken care of. 70,000 miles and the tranny is still tight even. My first order of business, will be the EGR delete, 4 inch exhaust w/cat delete, and SCT tuner. I am somewhat torn between the SCT X3 and the SF3. I'm looking more for economy tune, I am not trying to lift the heads off the poor fella any time soon. But I am leaning more towards the X3 with tunes from Eric at innovative diesel or Mike at MKM customs because I have heard good things about both. If anyone has any experience dealing with these guys' tunes, feel free to give me some insight on that. I was also thinking about hookin up one of those CTS monitors, or whatever it is, that way I don't have to blow a grand on gauges.
