I like this cat already:
I have found only one store bought salsa that is actually OK......and even then i have to stick it in the blender to get it to the texture i like.....
IM going to definaly try some of this......
SWEET he takes PayPal! Ill get some and report back......
Edit: I just got some HOT....so we will see.....I would suggest getting more than one at a time if you are going to do it. Shipping was more than the salsa for just one! haha....
Turned off by most store bought brands, what started out as a personal salsa excursion, turned into a hobby, and is now a dream.

Tia's sucked *****, their food wasn't near as good as authentic mexican food.
The best Mexican restaraunts are the little hole in the wall joints accross Texas. I have found a few that I really like...

You cant compare Authentic Mex to Tex-Mex (OR Southwestern food as some outside of Texas know it as)......two different styles.......To each his own......i prefer Tex-Mex.....Authentic is too bland for me....Plus I'm not into eating goat brains and tripe!
Short of the Hit and miss food they had....Tia's had some of the best salsa, chips and tortillas out there.......

That's unfortunate, you don't know what you're missing...

Got my salsa in last Friday!
I got the Hot....and I have to say at first it was a touch mild for my taste...but a good salsa none the less. AND everyone’s levels of HOT will be different.
The thing with store bought salsa is that the FDA has requirements that messes up the taste....this is why most all taste like they are supercharged with vinegar.
BUT Unkle Timz was very good! It was smooth, and had just the perfect amt of chunks! It wasn’t watery, but wasn’t soo thick that it was hard to scoop. I decided to leave the half a jar that I had left on Friday night sit in the fridge until Sunday to let it "Come into its own". (I have found that if you let peppers/salsa sit in the cold they will have a touch more kick after a day or two....don’t know why or what it does to the capsaicin to bring it out ....but it seems to work!). That did the trick...i had a touch more bite and was very good. BUT, i am going to try the extra hot next time and would suggest anyone that is looking for a kick...to start with that one.
My only complaint about it is they seem to rely on tomato paste for its substance....it gave it a processed feel....BUT don’t get me wrong...They make it work very well and the flavor was outstanding! AND i feel that is a comprimise that was made to keep the FDA happy........
All in all.....its one of the best store bought salsa's i have ever had and i will get more.
1-10 rating on store bought scale:
I would give this one a solid 9
1-10 rating on restaurant scale (Its hard to beat in-house fresh salsa!):
I would give it a 7
So do yourself a favor and get some! You will love it! I promise! (Just get more than one at a time....as the shipping was more than the salsa when i got mine!)
***This was an unbiased critique from a self proclaimed salsa nut!***
