I am wanting to put a cognito leveling kit on my 04 GMC but I don't know what size Tires to get once I put the kit on. I have 245 70 R16 which is stock but would like to go bigger. However, I don't want to start breaking stuff and putting more wear and tear on the truck than what is usual, but the 245's are small and would look smaller with a kit. What do yall recommend? I also want an agressive tire that does well in mud but also does not wear down on the road. It also has to be reasonably priced? Any recommendations would help!! Thanks

 

265/75 is a little bigger. 285/75 are a lot bigger, i think that would look good with a leveling kit

 

Are the 285 so big that it could end up damaging the trucks transmission. How would I get the speedometer to match the tires?

 

The transmission should be fine with 285's. as for the speedo, The dealer can probably recalibrate it for you. Or I believe some tuners can as well. Everyone I know just left it because it wasnt off my too much
