Alright, now I'm confused. What the heck is going on? The shop checked out the brakes or you did? And what are you talking about with the free wheeling? Maybe I'm just a little slow this morning.

Ill go see what they look like, im thinking maybe when the treads on the tires wear down it wont be so bad.....Here in sunny BC ,they use a lot of salt on our roads or that chemical stuff for freezing weather...Sooooooo if i dont get it all off , it will rust eventually, better to keep it shiny.. black goes gray really fast......... but when it clean...its just better.......

logan and longhorn..peace today.........be nice!

well if you want the tires to be wore down you could do a burnout and posd it on your favorite site aka (DB)

funny mikey..

ok I got to check out the roters myself there was no warping that I seen and i tighten up all the undercarrage.....all the bolts I could see, and greased the joints, nipples etc... been driving this thing on a pot hole filled road and i think i killed it..Free wheeling meaning its driving on its own with no hold back at all...you have to really use the brakes hard to get reponse..........? not really sure. its Abs brakes to btw...

I still think the rotors are warped. That is the kind of thing you usually cant see, but if you put a dial indicator on it I bet you will see something.

This free wheeling thing still has me a little confused. How I'm interpreting this is : come to a stop but the truck acts like it wants to pull forward on its own without any throttle input so you have to hold the brakes harder. Is it a constant pull or does it surge? My first thought would be either the engine is revving too high at idle or the brakes need some adjusting. You can try resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery for 30 min or so. I had a problem where my computer was fouled up and it caused the engine to surge at idle and it felt like the truck was trying to drive forward. Resetting the computer fixed my problem.

ah I see where we are having problems. Nope, you need the thickness of the rotor. A micrometer will work too.

I was reading the book on the ABS braking system and i figure i drive it all wrong, says dont pump the brakes, I Usually do. habit i guess. cant do that with this one, it pumps on its own, which makes sense cause it pumps when it comes to a stop, the vibration may be from unbalanced tires..... cause they have been off and on a few times, its very possible.... dont ya think? I added some pics of the engine in my photobucket... its a Vortec 5700... sorry for the confusion, Im a girl what do you expect............hehe
