ok cool....Thanks for that...i have another issue with my other truck. its a 97 sub chevy .. When I fly down a hill round a 100km . i apply pressure to brakes and the whole front end shakes like crasy.. brakes or front end?
What am i looking for ,testing for etc..I set them up by backing up and applying brakes, repeating three or four times but it doesnt last long and the thing is vibrating again.. not safe im sure.

So it is in the brakes then? maybe.. It was acting up earlier like jan, and i didnt trust the brakes. id hit then and they would stick, lock up...then they would screech or growl kinda. backing up did the same thing..Took it too Canadian Tire they said they were fine..i dont believe them..

It sucks, but having bigger than stock tires makes it bad.

Pretty sure it's a warped rotor. You should be able to tell pretty easy. If you come up to a stop sign it will wobble badly or feel like the brakes grab and release every time the tires make a revolution. I think the last time I had my mechanic turn the front rotors and put in new pads it was only like $150. I'd also spray everything down with brake parts cleaner to get any grime that might be gumming up anything else.

well when i apply my brakes, they feel spongy..like they want to bounce back at me.pulls to one side too.and ya it feels shakey when i come to a stop..I think i ll have to take it back over to CT get them to come for a drive, there work is warrenty, cause they just did the brakes last june.

If you drive it a lot it isn't uncommon for a rotor to warp in 8 months, especially if there is a lot of stop and go or hard braking. But its worth a shot for warrenty work.

Ill get it checked out again today........

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Another thing its doing is free wheeling.. so im driving and it speeds up, the air build up in the booster is causeing the brakes to work harder.. the thing just takes off now i dont even have to hit the gas....

I guess I don't understand what you are talking about?? Is this a 6.5TD?

Also, did you find anything out on the brakes?
