How do the 2500HDs hold up?
Yeah, I have no interest in dealing with another one (i.e. diesel) at this time...just too many headaches, especially in today's models/timing.
Well, I'm a new owner of a 2012 Chevy Silverado 2500HD...it had everything we wanted. The only thing I was torn about was whether to hold out for 4.10s or not...this truck had everything but 4.10s, so I will manage without. Nice truck overall, rides nice (probably better now that I aired the tires down), seems to drive nice, the wife can drive it...enough said.
So far so good...the only thing I need to address is the passenger rear door catch is causing the door to shut too tight...makes it hard to shut, but that's an easy fix.
I know I took a major hit in power, but I don't tow that often...rarely tow anything close to 10k. If the mileage is anywhere close to what I was getting with the Dodge, I will be happy.
If it gives me half the service life of the Dodge, I will be pleased.
