Batteries/Alternator Test Good But Wont Hold Charge. Positive Connection Harness?
Hello, about 8 months ago I replaced my batteries and on Monday I replaced my alternator with a DC Power 185 AMP alternator as well as a rebuilt FICM. However, my batteries STILL wont hold a full charge and the alternator is pretty much doing the same thing my old one was doing (it wasn't bad, just inadequate amps). Driving today about an hour, my alternator voltage was reading around 13.7 and once I shut the truck off, it immediately drops to 12.3v. Cold, I saw voltages from 12.3 down to 11.9. Cranking cold the lowest I saw was 10.3 which is good it isn't below 10. I had everything load tested at multiple places (Autozone, Advance, Oreilly, you name it) and they passed with flying colors. One guy that tested it said to look at my positive cable harness as it could be resisting a full charge to the battery. I looked around on that and couldn't find any forums or information related. Anyone know anything on this subject?
Thank You
