i have the 8.1l with the allison an i was wondering whats the diff between this one an a diesel allison thats behind the dmax. an if there the same do i just up grad the tc an put a trans kit in it. thanks

 

do you have the 5spd or 6spd allison. and just to double check it is the 1000 series correct

 

it should be the 1000 i dont know why it wouldnt be in 01 and its the 5 spd

 

just making sure...for the 5spds the best thing you can do it built it completely. jus a TC and the full transgo shift kit will only take you so far. with the full transgo you gotta tear into the trans anyway so you might aswell spend the extra 2 hours and finish building it with up graded clutches and steels
