Default New trans??

Hey guys, so last night I was doing a burnout in my 02 dmax, and I blew the trans, (set the efi live alittle to high). So I am wondering where I can get a new trans for under 2k, I don't have the money right now for a built trans, so I just need to get the truck running again, so it will probably be a rebuilt trans or something. Also what year trans will work in my truck, I was looking online at some you pull it yards and they had some but I don't know what year trannys will fit in truck, my truck has the allison so would that be an allison 1000? Thanks so much for the help.

you need to keep it the same year as your truck to be sure that your getting the same trans

06-up use a 6speed a1000, its different than the 01-05 5-speed a1000, something to keep in mind

when you blew it im guessing you mean you limped it...if thats the case a simple rebuild kit will work for you and will handle what you wanna throw at it. if i can help you out let me know

Ok, thanks for the help guys. I have limped the trans maybe 10 or 15 times but I have always been able to clear the codes and be ok, but now when I clear them as soon as I start driving if I give it more than maybe 1/4 throttle it will limp again, I also was not able to go more than 30mph and it would jump really hard into gear. When it would shift it feels almost like it defuels, If I give it to much gas the rmp's go right to 5k and limps, but when I'm careful and go VERY easy on it I was able to limp my way home. Any other thoughts are appreciated. Thanks again.
