rear axle strenght?

the AAM 11.5 has been around since the 01 duramax, its also used in 03-current dodge 3/4-1 ton diesels, uses disc brakes as well and parts should be easy to find because they are still making/using them on millions of trucks, the g-80 should be very easy to find in them in the GM axels, and a Helical locker in the Dodge version
In my experience they are both very stout axles that can take a ton of abuse

the AAM 11.5 axle has my vote one of the best rear ends ive ever seen. props to em for building such a sweet axle. never seen any e brake problems personally, and that 11.5" ring gear is a beast. even looking at it directly next to a 10.5 makes the 10.5 look super small.
