hi, new to the site. i went to install a hypertech chip in my 2002 duramax. i came up with two codes 1093 and 0622. i was told i can remove this by taking to dealership and getting new injectors. im hearing this is a big problem and can sometimes be covered in an EXTENDED WARRANTY, wow that would be cool. im the second owner but i did by from dealer. you think they wouldve replaced them at the five year factory service. any info would be greatly appreciated.
i researched p0622. it is generator f- term. field f control. anyone had this before

Why would they replace something that hasnt posed a problem and will cost them close to $5K to do?

i was told by a gm mechanic that if im getting the injector code, thats enough to consider them faulty. bring into dealer and they would warranty them. some research ive done has told me a clogged or faulty fuel filter could bring up this code. i just dont want to clear the code if its something i could get fixed cheap. but my truck runs fine, so i could probably just clear it and wait for something to fail.

thats what im looking into right now. if i change my fuel filter (and that is what is causing the code) can i expect the code to disappear or do i have to clear it and see if it comes back?

the oil from your filter has coated your maf sensor, you can stop by the local autopart store and buy some maf sensor cleaner, pull the maf sensor out and spray the hell out of it, let it dry and re install it and the code should clear itself.

its a problem with oiled filters.

i just went ahead and put my stock air system back on to see what it did and everything was ok...i think the mac air filter just lets to much air in...do u know anything about those filters? are they suppose to be good or are they junk? im thinking about just gettin a different filter and checking if it will work with the mac system...maybe like a k&n or something...
