I love my truck other then some minor short falls stock. I do believe they are the best all around light duty diesel trucks. Had the boost sensor go out other then that nothing in 40K. I've had several Ford 7.3 with and with turbo company trucks and 1 2gen Cummins. Other then interior problems from lack of care mostly, the loud *** turbo on some of the 7.3s, and the rear diff coming apart on the F550 they all did there job fine.

I love everything about my truck, EXCEPT one thing....... going over bumpy roads....... I guess i was spoiled with the burb.........The Dmax feels all the bumps. even if you go really fast. or really slow....... I dont like that part. highway driver only.

I love every minute of mine. No complaints, except worrying about a cracked piston at higher hp levels...

I had a 03 Dmax 6spd. Truck rides smooth but it just didnt feel like a truck to me. With a Quad Tuner my entire truck would vibrate due to GM using a Dual Mass Flywheel on the ZF6. Excellent Fuel Mileage but in 03 I was only paying around $1.50 pre gallon.

Mines OK so far. Not awe inspiring like some folks, but not a piece of junk either. I have been disappointed with it's mileage, and it's heavy towing capability. I do like how it behaves like a gas engine for the most part since I drive it a lot while on the phone and just generally distracted, it's very smooth running and shifting.

My first Chevy, although have had a duramax as a work truck for a short time before. I was expecting a lot from the truck from what other guys were telling me, but I came to the realization soon after buying it that most of those cheerleaders would say anything to get you on their "team" and there isn't any difference except cost between all the brands.
