Overall what is your opinion of you Dmax? What are you comparing it too?

Tell us about it and post a (1) photo of each one you've owned if you have one.

Seems like the diesel to have for the least amount of $$ for Bombs to have a Kick :edit: Truck

I have had 3 Duramax equipped trucks.

03 Ex cab SB 4x4 with D/A I loved the truck and never had any problems with it. It traded it in for my 07.5. The reason I traded it was because the cab was too small for my growing family. Plus my wife hate the droan of the exhaust I put on it.

05 CC SB 4x4 with D/A. I also loved this truck. Never any problems other then the typical steering shaft clunk which was fixed. It was perfect for my growing family until the NBS was introduced and I had to order one. Which I also traded this truck for my 07.5.

07.5 CC SB 4x4 with D/A. This is my favorite of all of them. I have no complaints about this one (nor the others) but the cab is silent, you cannot hear any wind noise, the engine is strong. I do not plan on trading this one in unless something happens that I need a mini van.

I searched and did tons of research on all the big 3 before my first purchase in 2003. I chose the Dmax for the ride, the interior, and power train. Not to mention I have a FAN # from GM so I get really good pricing. I have never owned a diesel before these so I cannot compare them to actual experience of other brands.

My current LLY DMAX is the BOMB!! :) Compared to my two previous LB7's. :dm:

My LB7 is pretty much unstopable....

end of story

Got 3 LB7's, my LLY and one LBZ in our fleet. 2 LB7's over 200k, one with 150k, mine has 44k and the LBZ has 75k.

All 3 LB7's have had injectors, waterpumps and 'pump rub', all else is maintenance. Mine's been great since I fixed the overheating with a Rad Mod V2 and the LBZ has been unstopable since day one.

02 LB7 lost the block and crank due to injector failure...... flooded the crank case with 20qt of fuel to 10qt of oil.... :( got 8 new INJ out of it

currently sitting since xmas-eve weekend

plans new block and crank, billet rods, cut piston, socal cam, moded cp3 studs and possible a gt40 main studs as well and other goodies :D

already has a sc4 1056 tranny setup

our 01 has been awesome... 280,000+ miles and we just put a flat bed on it this spring... the 05 tends to overheat with anything behind and loves to get 13mpg.....

Love my LBZ the biggest problem is the lack of funds to make it go faster.

got to say that my LLY has treated me real good it is the only one i have had pulled everything i could throw at it even when i had a blown head gasket
