My dad has a 2011 LML, for some reason when the throttle is in certain positions you can hear an odd noise of some sort coming from the airbox, at first we could not figure out where it was coming from but if you brake torque the truck and it starts to build boost it makes this whoooshing sound in the fender and airbox, it also does it driving down the hwy at certain speeds and when lugging a hill. It is pretty annoying, it sounds like its creating a vortex in the fender well from where it draws air from. I told him that maybe he could try putting an aftermarket intake on it to see if it stops. Has anyone else noticed this sound? We have ridden in several of them and they all seem to do it. Thanks for any help.

 

are you sure its not turbo noise?

 

Well I guess you could call it turbo noise, I guess you could say that it is caused from the Turbo pulling air through the airbox from the fender.
