Hey guys, my dad is looking at an 09 gmc cc/lb lmm dmax and my question is what are known problems with this motor or any other info I should know before buying? Thanks for any help.

 

the #1 problem is the DPF, if you leave the truck stock the DPF will cause you the most problems

there are other problems that arise with tuning the truck, or abusing the truck

there are minor things like steering shaft clunk, and some interior rattles and squeeks, and some rattles that come from the suspension, nothing that will cause catastrophic failures of the rig

I would ask for a VIN check from GM to see whats been done under warranty
