Today I tried to change my fuel filter as I have done many times before BUT now the filter wont go on. I have always used Donaldson brand filters for my truck and I always make sure to verify the part number. A little while back they changed the design and material but they still fit the one I tried to install today was one of the old style filters that have always fit before but now it wont screw on like it always has before. I have tried a little oil on the rubber center seal and made sure all the threads are clean but it just wont go and I even broke a fuel return line trying to force it on.
