Default fuel filter

i need some ideas on how to get this fuel filter off. it is stuck and i gave tried every thing from breakfree to a hammer and it wont budge.

huh? how can you not get it off? like the canister lid? all it should take is an 1"1/8"th wrench or socket, or the filter itself is stuck in there?

im in iraq right now but my dad said he tried that and was afraid it would break if he put more torque on it i bought the truck and cut and hacked while on leave but never even looked at the fuel filter to be honest. its the lid.

Yeah sometimes those lids get torqued on pretty good, and I had to use a cheater pipe to get mine off.

Where you at over here in the sandbox? I'm down south near the deep water port.

I like to put a little vaseline on the O ring when I install them. Helps seal and easier to remove.

Silicon grease on all filter o-rings.

Why make it any harder than it needs to be?
