Ok guys. Gotta question. I am about to replace my fuel filter and I was wondering what fuel filter you guys run? I don't mind paying a few extra dollars for a better filter. I run a Fleetgaurd Stratapore for the oil and I was considering going the same route. I mean, it's good enough for Cummins, so it should be good enough for me.

 

Switched to running a airdog but ran all fleetguard before.

 

Yeah, I agree. I just use the Fleetguard FS19598.

 

I've had bad luck with the Fleetguard fuel filter. I used NAPA originally, every 5K, which for me is about once a month. We switched to Fleetguard last year and I used eight or nine of them, about half of them started leaking after 3K miles. So I switched back to NAPA, no more problems. Sounds like my experience may be unusual though.

 

X2 Most ppl I know just use the NAPA and have good luck

 

I personally dont think the fuel filter is quite as important as the oil filter. For oil filters I use Fleetguard Stratapores.

Napa I believe is Wix.

I have used Baldwin fuel filters. They are cheaper than Fleetuard and seem to be well built.
