I just put on a sinister egr delete kit on my 05 duramax. I'm just trying to see if anybody knows something about it I'm no mechanic I put it on only cuz my egr was throughing codes every time I drove my truck. I noticed as I took it apart the egr valve was super dirty I've heard you can just clean it up and it may work properly again. Is it best to keep the delete kit on or put the egr back on. There's no upgrades to the truck other than intake. If anybody has some input it would be greatly appreciated thanks

 

Id keep the delete. that dirty mess on your valve is also inside your intake tract. egr and the pcv system make a mess. deleting the cooler will insure you never have any issues with it leaking internally. Though its not extremely common.
