2001 GMC Horn Fuse
Help....
My 2001 GMC LB7 keeps blowing the horn fuse. When I replace it, it works for a while then the fuse blows again. Any suggestions or wiring diagrams that someone has to share? I live in So Cal and my wife loves to honk at people cutting here off. The bigger problem is the horn is part of the factory anti theft system and is the feed back when you arm it looking the truck with the remote key thob. Any help is appreciated.

As a band-aid fix, I'd put a circuit breaker in place of the fuse, so when it does blow it'll reset itself. With power windows, I heard that the wires can fatigue where they move at the door jam, resulting in an intermittent open and voltage spike that can blow the fuse. It's possible that you have a similar issue in your steering column. More likely it's just an intermittent short in a wiring harness or component. Good luck and keep us posted
