so now im going to have the tranny pulled ($ 500 )and have another torque converter ($100) and extension housing(350$) from CL put in this weekend ,and then pull the balancer off to see if the pin sheared..hopefully thats the problem, i checked the balancer before but i just pried it back and forth and side to side to see if it wore out. i didnt think about it slipping /shearing and getting out of balance that way.
might as well build the trans while its out , good time to do it. you are lucky on the injectors though haha.

**update** the second extension housing was cracked 90% around the front next to the tranny. i now got it home
i pulled the front off the engine today and went to use the three foot breaker bar to test out how much of a bit@# it was gonna be to break the crank bolt loose. I put the bar on the bolt went to give it a big tug and it FELL OVER!! it was finger loose!
So now Im having a hell of a time getting the dampener off now are they press fit when torqued or do they slide off? I cant tell if it walked out a bit on the crank alignment but it was snug against the block and i dont see any metal shavings like it was wobbling on the crank.
If i cant get it to come loose in the morning i was thinking to find a jaw puller that will grab the dampener in the grooves because its so tight against the block i dont think itd fit behind it.

on another note??well i have the first transmission that i could do that with down the road. havent sold it yet.which the more i read at what point do i worry about smoking the tranny and needing to upgrade??

It will be a pretty tight fit in there. U shouldnt be able to just yank it off u will need a puller to get it off. I doubt u will be able to get a 3tooth gear puller to it. U will need a dampner puller to get it off.

if you use the three jaw puller on the belt groove you will break it! rent a puller from someone! or buy one whichever you can find.

your trans should be ok up to around 400-450hp but a dmax can get that with a simple tune and more! if you build it you can get a built trans efi tune and hit upwards of 500+hp.

The crankshaft harmonic balancer is not pressed on. If you can't pull it off by hand once the bolt is out, something is wrong.

Kind of makes me wonder how many have actually taken one off and are only out there giving blind advice. For the record, I have about 1/8 of the amount of fingers and toes required to count how many I've removed.

*updATE*
she is all back together and runnin good. i rented a puller but the three tooth was a pain so i used it as a two tooth puller and it came off easily enough. the crank was 150 degrees out and it was a little galled from the pin shearing. i cleaned it up with some sand paper and put it back on.i made a new pin out of a 3\16 drill bit. everything worked out fine and only cost me a drill bit and the 1200$ for the two trAnny remove and reinstalls with fluid both times. oh and the 1500 for the first tranny, oh and the 525 for the second extension housing. and all the food i bought my buddy for the rides i bummed.
