loss of power - sometimes feels like trans slip .... example of loss of fuel pressure.

With an LB7 you will only help by adding a lift pump like an airdog. The additional fuel pressure will help feed the fuel needed as well as the 2 additional filters will help to extend the life of your engine !

lift pumps are required on larger tunes due to a loss of fuel to the injection pump while RPM's are up.

if the pump is bad it dont matter if he has a lift pump though, and high rpms should matter much anyway cause his pump is turning high rpms also

I agree, if the pump is bad you will not make pressure. However, if it's running out of fuel, the lift pump will do the trick.

Step one would be to check the condition of the pump and injectors and see where you are at.
