Anybody tell me what their avg. tranny temp is on a normal driving basis? again it is an LB7 allison automatic, and its been running from around 150 deg. to 200deg. and im not really comftortable with the fact that it is goin up to 200. help anyone?

 

i have the lly w/ the allison and it normally stays between 150 and 190. the hotest it has ever been is 190

 

i will check the gauge on my way home from work tom and let you know.

 

its usually 100+ outside temp if im not mistaken, if your lower ur good

 

Over 200* isn't uncommon ideal is 190* just to check the fluid level. Some built trans are often over 200* it can take it. IIRC it will go into limp mode at 240*or maybe thats was coolant and the trans goes to 260*.
