Default Blow by question...

I got my hands on 94 K2500 for 1,100, it would crank over an over an over an over, but never start and they had no clue as to why, well, 163k miles and the PMD is in its original place, the 4 injectors on the driver side were all broke loose, I guess they were tryin to see if they were gettin fuel or not, they had replaced the PCM as well, swapped out the PMD, tightened the injector lines and she fired right off It had not been licensed in 5 years, and running in 6 months, so I was'nt sure what to expect, she runs like a champ, my question is, how much is acceptable for blow by? I have read many different things and heard other things as well, there is vapor coming from the dipstick and the oil cap if its removed as well, the blow by from the dipstick greatly decreases when the oil cap is removed, it almost vanishes, is there anything i should be concerned with? It starts up an runs great so i'm just curious.

Of course it vanishes when oil cap is removed, but the problem (if there is one) doesn't. Blow by is a sign of wear, but it doesn't mean it will die soon. You can still get some good miles/use. Enjoy it! Good buy/price!

Go to wally world and get some smoke be gone, with leak sealer, (runs about $4.50 ) will quieten down engine. And will help with the engine blow by, somewhat it wont fix your problem but it will help some what.

Thanks for all the replies guys, I have not been able to get on in a long time now. The trucks been down as well, new injectors, new ball joints, took the valve covers off just to check and make sure things were alright under there. I have taken and cleaned the CDR out with carb cleaner, got it really clean, once I get it all back together, I'll see how well she runs.
