Default Vacuum pump problems?

So im not sure if im right but im probably gonna remove it anyways today, this morning i started my truck and when i came out i noticed it was making a very light knocking sound coming from the turbo side of the engine, it sounds like its coming from the accessory section and im wondering if when a vacuum pumo goes if it sounds like that. sound cant really be heard from the cab so i doubt its engine, oil pressure and all is fine. only other thought is exhuast leak. any insite would be appretiated.
