IF you find it isnt the PMD i would relocate it to the front bumber. Crazy helped me with a issue just like this and i go tthe longer cable from pmdcables.com. If you google the 6.5 chevey diesel you will see that it is a very common problem. So if it isnt you pmd relocate it before it goes anyway. When mine went i was having issues with the glow plug light wasnt staying on for more then a few seconds. But i dont think that is a common sign of it going bad. I would add crazy to your friends list if he is cool with it. He helped me with all the problems i was having and was right on about 99% of the time if not more

O ya before you go spending 200 bucks on a PMD check all your grounds. Crazy pointed out to me a while back how important the grounds are. I had one that wasnt even hooked up. There should be 4 one from each battery and one from the frame under passanger side floor board to fire wall and one from the block to the fire wall. the 2 going to the fire wall are a real pain in the ***. I solved alot of my issues just by fixing all the grounds. There are a bunch of ground that go to a stud on the passenger side head also. Check your codes also. Mine was throwing all kinds of codes that went away when i fixed my grounds. I was replacing ECM because it was throwing a code that it was bad and here the whole time it was the ground
