hi I've got an gmc 6.5 td and when i'm driving and pull up from a traffic light, my car just shuts down! i pull over and start again and drive away and it happens again, when i start the engine again and drive allong it looks like nothing happend because the car is behaving normal again. Anyone an idee what this could be????

 

sounds like a fueling issue..............I bet yer fuel supply (lift pump) is out or very weak

possibly plugged fuel filter ????????????????

sound like PMD going south on that are sign of PMD

PMD is what runs the injector pump black or some time grey box on side the IP witch goes bad lot cause heat most of more it to the front bumper on a heat sink

Other thing you want to check that play big part to the 6.5 are grounds there are 2 or 3 wires at the back right side on motor and there is also 2 ground straps there from the fire wall right under the a/c dryer 1 goes to back of right head the other goes to the frame those are the grounds for the computer then there ground wire on top of the injector pump and one at right fender next to the battery make sure the clean and tight
