s vin trucks have egr and are less powerful and are usually on lighter duty trucks. its the opposite for f vin. best place for a wiring harness would probably be a wrecked truck in a junkyard. a nv4500 will hold up to a 6.5 not sure about the nv3500.
good upgrades are the same as other diesel trucks. exhuast, gauges, tune, and different turbo

The s has egr and the f doesn't. There are differences between obd1 and obd2. If you buy a 93 or older turn the pump up and add more turbo and go to 4" exhaust. If you buy a 94 or newer get a better ecm a boost controller and 4" exhaust. I would also put a fluid damper on ether one.

I would look in junk yards or go Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market
just remember go with the right harness if it OBD1 or OBD2 they both diff

what r some good upgrades
3"down pipe 4"exhaust back, gauges boost,EGT,and trans if you go auto, chip or reflash depend on what yr you go with turbo master ,97+ air system , put the PMD in front bumper

and i have a 5 speed in it the shifter come out of the top center of the trans what type is it 3500 or 4500 and would it hold up to the 6.5
thanks
think would want to go with the 4500

That 4L80E is bullet proof.... I love it.

Also, NV4500 will hold up to the 6.5 forever. LOL. The cummins throws out way more hp/torque than a 6.5 will ever hope for. And, being a 6 cylinder, it's a rougher power harmonic than the smoother running v8.

That may actually explain why dodge has SOOO many tranny issues behind the cummins.
