Default lift pump mystery

i used to be able to hear the lift pump for a few seconds after shutdown, but now i dont hear it. hear is a list of what i have checked.
1. fuse is good.
2. there is power at the LP while engine is at idle
3. i can put my hand on the LP with engine at idle and feel it working
4. with engine at idle i opened the T-handle for 30 seconds and had good fuel flow with no coughing or dieing. closed T-handle and opened the valve on top of filter and had fuel there too.
5. no loss of power, not stalling or hard to start. i can jump the LP and it will run. so why dont it run anymore after shutdown? also noticed that the LP doesnt run with trans in reverse and key on. everything points to a good LP. and since theres power at the LP with engine at idle the OPS checks good too. am i missing something?

ON what you just tested sound like OPS and LP is working

Could be that OPS is on it way out and remember if you change it out put in AC Delco

Other thing how old is the oil if has lot miles on it can be getting thin that could make oil psi drop faster and that way you are not hearing the pump run when you shut off
