Default 6.5 dies on freeway

I have a 1996 6.5 liter and when going 60 or 70 on the freeway it will suddenly lose power and just shuts off completely.

And after i pull over it will start right back up, its done it 3 times on the freeway and one time in town.

Any solutions or ideas???

Thanks alot!

x2. Do some research on PMD failure. Diagnose by swapping with a known good pmd.

Its always a good idea I think to have 2 PMDs mounted beside each other if you can afford it, just in case. That way you just unplug the one and plug in the other.

One thing I DONT see in the instruction above, is MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RESISTOR out and put it IN the other one if it dont have it already. Its a LITTLE white colored thing INSIDE the plug on the PMD.

If you have 2 mounted, just buy another resistor on ebay, I see them all over.

I still have the OLD style PMD (black one) the new style is grey, IT HAS DIFFERANT HARNESS. If you just buy a new style (the old styl is no longer made) you HAVE to get the harness adapter.

Right Crazy??
