Default wanting 99 6.5 suburban upgrades

hello bombers. I just purchased a 1999 suburban 6.5 with 90k miles. stock except ssdiesel supply relocator. I am wanting to do some upgrades and make sure this truck is dependable. thanks in adcance for any help

truck was bought from goverment secret service vehicle. 3/4 ton 4x4 with 1 ton axles. and 410 gearing.

first thing i would do would to relocate the pmd to inside the front bumper away from engine heat were its going to die. then maybe oil cooler lines

There are more and more good companies for 6.5 parts. What do you want to do?

My first recommendation is to change the harmonic balancer and the crankshaft pulley, to prevent a future motor catastrophe. PMD should be relocated out of the engine bay.

I was hoping to add a lil more power. but want driveability and need this truck to run daily for a few years. Can i relocate the pmd that was installed from ss diesel?

ya just need to buy the extension harness for 20 bucks

Well bad news suburban died in traffic 3 times today runs a few minutes here and there then shuts off like somebody is turning key off. diagnostic code p1216.... has fsd and cooler from ssdiesel supply 22 months old.. can it be bad already? . i did a fuel pressure test and it has 5lbs at t valve. Any thing else i could be missing?? help please!

ya it could be bad already its a bad design.
