Do you have a s or f code? S has egr f doesn't. If you have a f code I would delete the vac. pump. If you have a s you can cap the line or delete the egr then you can get rid of the vac. pump.

If you wanted to do something of this nature I think the best way would be a 12 v linear actuator with adjustable limits with about a 2 in stroke. You would need to make a bracket and test and check with EGT and Boost gauges. I can find you some parts and probably make one. Couldn't be too difficult. It's is essentially the same thing as a turbo master only electrically controled. I think I may be on to something. In one position it will be wide open. In the other it's a regular turbo master with a spring and everything. I'll check into it.
Here is a 2 in throw linear actuator with 115 thrust. More than enough to hold into position when you want in normal boost situations. Extended when you want to "lay the smokescreen" By the way that solenoid controller has got to be a hoax. That isn't even how the boost solenoid works. Some people man.
