my truck takes off dramatically when I barely touch the pedal. New pmd didn,t help. Could it be the pedal assy? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

To take my best guess I would say you have a injection pump laying down. I would wait for other opinions to come in and maybe figure how to test the pedal assembly because both parts are two expensive for trial and error.

 

in park slowly rev up the engine till it hits 2000 rpms. keep it there for 5 seconds then slowly bring it back to idle. if the engine cant do this slowly and smoothly without surging your ip is most likely done.
