Any one know of a have to get book for diesel Maintenence and repair?? I'm a beginner and I have learned a lot about Diesels but would like to know more and stuff I can do to make my truck last longer and stronger.

Mine is a 92 Chevy Duelly with a 6.5 Turbo Diesel, Standyne DB2 mechanical IP.

I have the Haynes but I'm finding it lacking on the technical side...

 

you could scour ebay looking for some 1992 service manuals. dieselpage.com has some good general info on 6.5s but i think its more geared toward electronic 6.5s but i would still check it out. i also own a 1996 edition of a book called diesel technolgy fundamentals, service, and repair by norman, corninchook, and schareff. thats not specifally for the 6.5 but for all dieselsup to 96.
