i had a 78 code on my truck thats for the boost solenoid so i have a bad solenoid for sure and my dad seems to think my boost pressure sensor is weak or not working right or my little turbo is puttin out more boost than his 97 is

i would change it you have no idea how more power you will get back. i was diagnosing egr codes and i tested my vaccum pump. it wasnt pulling the amount of vaccum that it was speced for but it still operated the wastegate fine with not much black smoke. i put the vaccum pump back on and immediently it felt like a different truck. it had a lot better power throughout the rpms and it could chirp the tires from a standstill.
