I was planning on a heath.

What would be your call on the fluid damper. I know its not cheap but b busted cranks very not cheap. This is the same engine I thought was stuck It's a miracle its free now. I'm running her till she blows.

i am gonna build a mechanical wastegate sometime soon (they arent hard to build) but i wanna get all my problems sorted out before i start doin stuff to her. im not sure about the liquid dampers as i have only had my truck for about a month or a month and a half but what i have heard they might be a pretty good investment. its definately cheaper than a crank. nothing worse than a broken crankshaft.

there is a website that sells a 40 horse and a 80 horse ecm mounted chip for the same money but i would say you can get it at heath or kenedy but im not sure the website is a1customs.com but you can get them cheaper on the bay .

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

these ecm mounted chips are for 94 and 95 models ONLY

a1 customs is a scam. google him before you buy he will turn up a lot of bad threads. i wouldnt buy anything thing computer related for your engine on ebay. thats all scams. if its under 350 bucks its a scam and i would not trust it on my truck. ss diesel is another company who misleads you. did he show you any dyno graphs with that 80 hp claim.

only companys i would trust is Heath, Kennedy, Wester's Garage, and Walking J's designs KOJO tune. im not trying to sound harsh but these are all the companys that i would steer away from if you want a quality tune. as far as fluiddampr i would get one. 6.5s have crappy cranks so a good dampener is a must.

the walking j's kojo tune and westers garage will also burn you a somewhat custom tune that fits your liking. where as heath and kennedy who's tunes are very good are the same for everyone who buys them depending on which one you get.

Thanks, I was leaning to a fluid damper but $400 is always hard to part with. They have a crappy crank but I had head the damper is right on the edge of being to small anyway so I knew the answer to the question just need a little push to do it.

well its either a 400 dollar dampener or 900 dollar forged crank. im leaning towards a dampener for a mostly stock 6.5

The performance up grade ecm's or the boxes you splice two wires in and gain 100 hp on ebay are a scam as woody said. I had had 1 and for kick's and giggles I put it on the truck and low and behold nothing changed. I wasn't expecting much maybe a couple of horse a half a mile to the gallon better or maybe it would blow the engine but nothing changed. I would not waste my money on a $100 box thats supposed to add 80 horse if it was that easy heath couldn't sell ecm's that add 80 horse for $400 every body would just buy the $100 ones. They shouldn't even be allowed to sell them under the claims they make.

By the way did you ever get this thing to quit de fueling?

Woody' Let me know how you like the warpspeed exhaust after you get it on the truck How easy it installed,How much of a difference you noticed in the truck and how it sounds I can't find any body around here that has it. I am going to have to go 4" to run a gl4 ecm and I would like to know how warpspeed works for you.

sometimes when they write those phony auctions on ebay they mix up the gains your supposed to get. like one will say 100 hp in the picture and in the description it will say 80. i just shake my head. ill let you know how the warpspeed exhaust works.
