if the transmission bolts up, just do that and a divorced transfer case. itll be easier and cheaper than buying a bunch of couplers and adapters and all that stuff. at least thats what i would do

i am thinking that a divorced t case would probably be the best bet. it way easier to change the input shaft to the t case then it is to put a different output shaft in the tranny. but then your going to have to make new front and rear drivelines for it and the stub shaft between the tranny and t case. the smallbock and bigblock have the same tranny mount on them. but i have never seen a 6.2 mount, i would bet there the same though

Every thing you have will somewhat fit together. The sm465 will fit the 6.2. The 6.2 is not the same as the s/b or b/b chevy but they all use the same bell housing. You will need a truck bell with the big hole in it and a 6.2 clutch and fly wheel. The np208 should work behind the sm465 but it will need a longer main shaft which wouldn't be bad if you can find one and are not scared to tear the trans. down. You will also need a extension housing to bolt between the trans. and t/case. other than that I think every thing is the same.

i dont know if your question has been answered but im doing a swap right now and yes everything will bolt up except for the 2wd trans you need to go find a 4wd sm465 and a 208 attached to it or a np205 attached with the 205 you will need a new driveshaft but the 465/208 is the same length as a 700r4/208

the auto 208s are 27 spline and the manuals are 32 spline so unless you're going to run a divorced t-case you need to check it out
