Can turning up your injection pump up on a n/a 6.2 about four flats cool down egts because it's not as lean? Also can it improve mileage because you dont need as much pedal?? Because i have a friend telling me this but i wanted to verify...any input wpild be apprieciated.

No. To much fuel is not a good thing. Fuel causes HIGHER egt's. I little more fuel is okay on a NA motor. A LOT more fuel is not. Remember that diesel technology is the OPPOSITE of gas motors. Too much leaness on a gas motor is the kiss of death. Too much fuel on a diesel... The best way to get better milage is keeping your foot out of it and learning patience.

Just my tu'pence worth...

^^^ he is right. more fuel means more heat. if your going to turn it up get a egt gauge. as far as better mpg because you dont need to push the pedal down is much is all in the way you tune the truck. in theory you are somehwat right you just need to tune it for that.
