Run a hotwire to the relay to manually close it. Could be the relay is shot.

The first thing he grabbed was not a relay, it was a controller.....big difference.

He called it a relay at first. Was trying to clear up some confusion.

Where is the relay on my truck? 95 6.5TD?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I have power at the controller, but not at the glow plug connector. I do have the glow plug light in the instrument cluster when I turn the key on.

I dont have a relay for the glow plugs in the under hood fuse box. Only relays are brake, ac and fuel pump. I have a 10amp fuse and it is good. I checked all my grounds. When iturn the key on and get the glow plug light, I get 12 volts at the glow plug connector for about 2 -4 seconds. But if hook up a glow plug and just lay it on the valve cover it doesnt get hot with the key on. Am I testing it wrong? I tried 2 old plugs and 1 new one. I opened the water bleed off the filter again and I get a good flow of fuel while cranking the engine.
