I got issues!!!!
Ok, heres a little background... Bought a 95 6.5 turbo diesel, not running. When I got it the starter was out ( a mounting bolt broke off in the block) and the radiator was out and trashed and had no batteries. So I drilled the bolt out and installed a new starter, installed new batts. Once that was done i put the key on, waited for the glow plug light to go off the turned it over. It fired up.. Let it run about 5- 10 seconds, shut it down and waited for the radiator to come in. It came with a new waterpump so I installed that along with the new radiator. I had a dome light on so the batts drained a little, I charged them and cranked it over with the charger hooked up ( after reading I heard thats not a good thing to do). I have nothing, it just turns over. I wasnt getting the glow plug light so I replaced the glow plug controller. Now i got the light. I opened the water bleed and I have fuel coming out when it cranks over. All the fuses are good. I tested the glow plugs with an ohm meter ( the 4 on the drivers side anyway) And they are around .5 to .9 ohms. Could the plugs be bad? Or the PMD? I wouldnt think the PMD would go out after I just had run it for 10 seconds. The PMD is in the stock location. Would the lift pump cause a no start? I dont want to throw money in the wrong spot...
PS sorry so long, just wanted to give as much info up front, thanks so much for the help in advance!!!!! Will

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I broke the fitting at the injector and I do get fuel there, so Im leaning towards changing glow plugs, but would hate to throw away $70-80!! If im am getting fuel therre does that mean my PMD is OK for now?

You can check the glowplugs to see if any of em are bad. Some use an Ohm meter, but I don't know the magic number. Way I do it is use a little 6 amp battery charger. Hook the ground on the thread part, then touch the positive to the blade. If you get a real good spark it's good, a little spark, should change it. If no spark, no good.

Ok, I removed the glow plug and turned the key on I didnt even get warm. I went to autozone, got 8 new plugs, put a new plug in the connector turned the key on, still got nothing. I put a new glow plug controller about 2 weeks ago hoping that would get me started. Is there any way to check and make sure the contoller is working??? This thing is kicking my ***! Now my neighbor called the city and I got one week to move it or get it running!!!!
