i guess the mileage depends on the condition and the way you drive at low speeds because the results are really skewed in this thread

What are your gears? I have a 84 K10 6.2 700R4 and 3:42 gears, 22mpg.

Also, Red Rattler - 700R4's are 3 speed with OD.

My Dad has a an old 4x2 with a three speed 700R4 non lock-up that gets around 20. And a few more identical ones with overdrive and lock-up that get close to 25 MPG.

Sorry, no such thing as a 3 speed 700R4. They are 4-speed autos.
