how hard is it to change the relay. my buddy`s is dying. and only starting half the time.

if he drives it. stops for 20 minits. it wont start. no glowpug wait to start light, no clicking.
any idea that may come across to?

Sounds like a dead controller. But to check the relay, run a jumper to one of the small terminals. If it clicks, relay is good, controller is shot. If it doesn't, relay is bad. If the controller is bad can either replace the controller, or run a momentary switch. Controller is a temp sensor to tell the relay to kick in, if coolant temp isn't sufficient enough. Mind if I ask what year truck?

 

Sounds about right. Ill check it this weekend. Or tomarrow if I get time.

well looks like the problem took care of itself yesturday. somr domb unlicensed girl driving daddies suv hit my buddy. he's done desaling with his truck. he might get a blazer or somthing smaller. he might fix it. but we dont know.
