6.5 died/ not starting
Awesome glad it is up and running. The wiring issues are why I went to manual IP and manual transmission myself. I just did 1300 mile RT from northern Michigan to PA and back. Longest trip since I converted this truck to manual. Averaged 26 MPG with out the turbo (was in the middle of rebuilding turbo when got called to do the trip). No gasser 4x4 is gonna get that LOL. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that your beast stays running good.
Another 30 mile drive and all is well.

It seems the cause of all this grief was bad wire connectors for the PMD. After eliminating the 2 sets of plugs and soldering the PMD extension chord in place of the plug in's it seems to be fixed.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys.
Pete

If it cuts off again try this...
Do the lift pump test. It should fill up a "red solo cup" in less than 30 seconds or so. If it looks like a weak stream it could be several issues. Lift pump could be bad, could be a line restriction, or god forbid, you got a clogged fuel sock. That will require removal of the fuel tank. Just make sure you get the right sock.
Or, if you are a rebel, just toss the little offending bastard in the trash and reinstall the sender unit. But be prepared to replace the fuel filter with every oil change.
